Sept 16: Keeper & 2nd asst showing twenty visitors in tower - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - 2nd asst working in shop - Keeper working on Quar. reports

Sept 17: Moderate & fresh breeze North these 24 hours - first part of 24 hours thick smoke & fog - Last part of 24 hours thick smoke - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.00 to 29.87 - 1st asst showing seven visitors in tower - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport after mail & supplies

Sept 18: Fresh breeze North with smoke and fog showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm fair and cloudy - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.88 - Keeper cleaning out spring in pasture and working on quarterly reports - 1st asst showing two visitors in tower & went fishing - 2nd asst went to Newport to buy and get a cow

Sept 19: Fresh breeze South to light North wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours rain - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.65 to 29.90 - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper showing four visitors in tower - 2nd asst cleaing out his part of barn
