18 Light east wind to moderate and fresh breeze north these 24 hours with clear fine and cool weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.18. 1st asst went fishing - General duties for the day - Keeper went to the woods ??? wood - 2nd asst preparing to make garden one half mile from station.

19 Fresh breeze east these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - Barometer 30.10 - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing & cleaning out spring in pasture - 2nd asst and keeper shading and planting garden - Keeper writing in office.

20 Fresh breeze and light east wind these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day. Barometer 30.10 - 2nd asst washing - Keeper and 1st asst planting garden - 1st asst also went fishing - Keeper writing in office.
