1 Fresh to moderate breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Last part of 24 hours fair & cool. Sea smooth - Barometer 29.86 to 29.94 - Keeper & assts went to Newport to vote & procure supplies - 1st asst whitewashing fences.

2 Moderate breeze to light north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Last part of 24 hours fair and warm - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.94 to 30.08 - Keeper & assts painted store house & water closet - 1st and 2nd assts whitewashing - Keeper went to look after men working on road.

3 Light north wind to moderate and fresh breeze south these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair - Last part of 24 hours rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.08 - Keeper & assts painted dome & parapet black - 2nd asst working in garden - Keeper went over on road to see the men.

6 Fresh to moderate breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours fair and warm weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.26 to 29.98 - Keeper and assts painted base of tower scrubbed floors painted office floor and door stools celler doors & pump & tower windows - Keeper went over to road to oversee the men working there - 2nd asst working in garden.

7 Fresh breeze and light east wind these 24 hours with very warm weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.98 to 29.93 - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies - Had six visitors today.

8 Light S. east to north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours clear fine and warm - Last part of 24 hours thick fog and warm - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.93 to 29.98 - Keeper washing painted steps celler doors & windows of dwelling and water tank at barn lead collor - 1st and 2nd assts cleaning lantern & painted iron railings black - Keeper & 2nd asst went over to road.

9 Moderate breeze north these 24 hours with thick fog showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.98 to 29.90 - Laborers working on road - Keeper went over to oversee them - 1st asst white washing garden fence - 2nd asst cleaning and painting in his kitchen.

12 Light S. wind and calm these 24 hours with fair weather and little damp - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.90 to 29.95 - Keeper & assts painting on covering of workroom lead collor painting steps of dwelling base of wood shed & whiteing fences - Keeper went over on road to oversee the men working there - 2nd asst went three miles from the station on important business - Keeper and assts emptying 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts - Had four visitors could not show them in tower on account of paint.
