187 MONTH. DAY. RECORD OF IMPORTANT EVENTS AT THE STATION, BAD WEATHER, &c.

October 18: Light North wind these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies 2nd asst W.P. Ford arrived at the Station at 3 P.M.

October 19: Moderate breeze South these 24 hours with heigh dry fog and fair weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Had two visitors today - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies - Barometer 29.85 to 29.78 - U.S. Light-House tender passed into yaquina to land annual supplies for this station

October 20: Light S. East wind to moderate and fresh breeze South these24 hours - first part of 24 hours fair - Last part of 24 hours rain - Sea smooth to rough - Barometer 29.70 - Keeper and assts putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts - Mr. R.C. Hart from Inspectors Office arrived at station at 9:30 A.M. and inspected station and left for Newport at 11 A.M. - 1st asst went fishing today

October 21: Modreate breeze S. E. to light South wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain - last part of 24 hours fair - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.53 to 29.66 - Keeper went to Newport after supplies and mail - U.S. Light-House Tender landed annual supplies at Newport today - Mr Mc Donald hauling supplies

October 22: Moderate breeze East these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.35 to 29.45 - Keeper stowing away annual supplies and slacking Line - Light House Tender Manzanita crossed out of yaquina placed Whistling buoy & went North at 3:45 P.M.

October 23: Moderate breeze to light wind East these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair and warm - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.45 to 29.50 - Keeper & 2nd asst working in shop - 2nd asst working in garden - 1st asst went to Newport after supplies

October 24: Moderate breeze to light East wind these 24 hours with clear fine and warm weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.50 to 29.80 - Mr Mc Donald hauling coal & oil - Keeper and assts stowing away annual supplies - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper and 2nd asst putting stove pipe in Keepers & assts Kitchen - Keeper & 2nd asst working in shop

October 25: Light East to variable winds these 24 hours First part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours cloudy & light rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.80 to 29.95 - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies

October 26: Light South East wind these 24 hours with fog and light rain showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.90 to 29.98 - Had three visitors today - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies

October 31: Moderate breeze South to light S. East wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours frequent light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair - Sea rough - Baromter 30.10 - Mr Mc Donald hauling supplies - Keeper went to Newport to procure supplies and have repairs made on Buck Board - 1st and 2nd asst stowing away annual supplies
