1 Light wind and moderate breeze south these 24 hours with frequent light rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.96 to 29.82 - Keeper washing - 2nd asst working in garden & cleaning in his kitchen - 1st asst whitewashing cleaning & painting in his quarters.

2 Fresh breeze and light S. to S. west wind these 24 hours with frequent rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.75 to 30.12 - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies - 1st asst cleaning & painting in his quarters - 2nd asst cleaning & painting in his quarters.

3 Light south and variable winds first part of 24 hours with damp weather - Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze north with fair weather - Sea moderately smooth - Barometer 30.12 to 30.22 - 1st and 2nd assts cleaning & painting in there quarters - Keeper putting wood in his celler.

4 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours some fog & fair - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.22 to 30.02 - 2nd asst painting in his quarters also painted inside of water closet - Keeper and 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies.

5 Fresh breeze and light north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours fair and heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.94 to 30.02 - 1st asst went to Newport on important business - Left sta at 1 P.M. - 2nd asst painted kitchen floor.

6 Moderate breeze and light north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 hours fair and warmer. Sea smooth - Barometer 30.02 to 30.28 - 1st asst returned to the sta at 9:30 A.M. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport to vote and procure supplies.

7 Moderate breeze nort these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.28 to 30.16 - Keeper cleaning in his quarters - 1st asst cleaning oil carriers & went to Newport after mail - 2nd asst working in shop & garden. Had two visitors.

8 Light wind north and calm these 24 hours with fair and warm weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.16 to 30.10 - Keeper cleaning and painting in his quarters - 2nd asst working in his garden & painting in his quarters - 1st asst cleaning in his quarters.

9 Light south to north wind with thick damp fog first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light west to S. west wind light rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.10 to 30.12 - 1st asst painting base of tower white and black - Keeper cleaning and painting in his quarters - Also cleaning & painting water closet - 2nd asst went to Newport after supplies and on business.

11 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.34 to 30.12 - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies - 2nd asst went over to beach to repair gate - 2nd asst doing house work today.

12 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours with clear fine and warm weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.12 to 29.95 - Keeper and assts showing fourteen visitors in tower. Keeper & 2nd asst repairing pig pen - Keeper painting hall floor in dwelling also steps & water closet.

13 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 2nd asst getting clams on beach at sta - 2nd asst painted back steps on dwelling getting wood on beach & working in garden - 1st asst cleaning out woodshed - Keeper putting wood in his celler.

14 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours with heigh dry fog during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.95 to 29.90 - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies - Keeper went after clams on beach at sta - 2nd asst went after razor clams on beach one mile from sta.

15 Fresh breeze and light north wind these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.90 to 29.88 - Keeper working on annual and quarterly reports - 2nd asst working in shop - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies and showing five visitors in tower.

16 Light north to south wind & calm these 24 hours with heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.88 to 30.00 - 1st asst showing four visitors in tower and cutting grass around dwelling - 2nd asst W.P. Ford went to Newport after mail and supplies - Keeper working on annual and quarterly reports to L. House Inspector.
