1 Light variable winds to light south wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.08 to 30.52 - 1st and 2nd assts putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts - 1st asst working in his quarters - Keeper went to Newport to post mail to Light House Engineer & important business - Left sta at ??? A.M.

2 Light east wind to S. east & south wind these 24 hours with rain showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.05 - Keeper returned to station at 10 A.M. - Keeper getting wood on beach - 1st asst repairing step ladder for the lantern.

3 Light wind to fresh breeze south these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain showers - Last part of 24 hours cloudy and threatening - Sea quite rough - General duties for day - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - Barometer 29.85 - Keeper & 2nd asst getting wood on the beach.

4 Gale south to fresh breeze S. west these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain - Last part of 24 hours rain showers and fair - Sea very rough - General duties for day - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - Barometer 29.60 to 29.90 - 1st asst working in shop.
