1 Light south wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair and cloudy - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.00 to 30.10 - Keeper washing & getting wood on beach - 1st asst cutting grass & working in garden - 1st and 2nd asst showing 10 visitors in the tower.

2 Light south and variable winds & calm these 24 hours cloudy and fair - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.10 to 29.90 - Keeper and 2nd asst showing 18 visitors in the tower - 2nd asst working in garden - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies.

3 Light S. east wind to fresh breeze south these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair - Last part of 24 hours rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.85 to 29.98 - Keeper went to Newport after supplies - 1st and 2nd assts working in garden & in their quarters.

4 Light S. east to north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.98 to 30.18 - Keeper and 2nd asst showing 10 visitors in the tower - Keeper went 3 miles from the station on important business - 1st and 2nd assts went to Newport to spend the 4th.
