18 Moderate to fresh breeze S.E. to S.W. and west these 24 hours with rain and hail showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.78 to 29.88 - 2nd asst hunting geese - 1st asst went one mile from sta on important business & showing two visitors in the tower.

19 Light S. east wind to fresh breeze south these 24 hours with light rain showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.08 to 30.02 - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies - Left sta at 9 A.M. - 1st asst working in the shop & in his quarters.

20 Fresh breeze to light gale south these 24 hours with light rain showers - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.02 to 30.04 - Keeper returned to the station at 11 A.M. 2nd asst washing & working in his quarters.

21 Fresh breeze to light south wind cloudy and dry first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light north wind fair and warmer - Sea quite rough - Barometer 30.04 to 30.24 - Keeper and assts repairing tight board fence in front of keepers dwelling that blew down in gale of the 3rd.

22 Light east wind these 24 hours with clear fine and warmer weather - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.24 to 30.12 - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail and supplies - 1st asst working in his quarters - Keeper working on requisition for supplies.

23 Light east wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours clear weather - Last part of 24 hours cloudy & fair - Sea moderately smooth - Barometer 30.12 to 29.98 - Keeper and assts polishing all brass work at the station - 2nd asst went fishing at the sta.

24 Light S. east and variable winds these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours light rain showers - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Barometer 29.90 - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - 2nd asst cleaning oil carriers.

25 Fresh breeze east these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain - Last part of 24 hours cloudy and fair - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.90 - 1st asst working in his quarters - 2nd asst working in his quarters - Keeper working on requisition for supplies.

26 Moderate breeze and light east wind with fair and dry weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds damp - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Barometer 29.91 - 1st asst working in shop - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail & supplies.

27 Light south to S. east and east wind these 24 hours with rain during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.90 to 29.65 - 1st asst went to Newport on important business - 2nd asst showing 5 visitors in tower.

28 Fresh breeze S. east to south with hard rain first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light west wind light rain showers - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.40 to 29.75 - 1st and 2nd asst takeing covers off of coal cases to empty them in oil butts.

29 Light S.E. to south and S. west wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours cloudy and fair - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.75 to 29.85 - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - 1st asst working in his quarters.

30 Light east wind to moderat and fresh breeze South these 24 hours with light rain - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.85 to 29.70 - 1st and 2nd assts putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts.

31 Gale south to S.W. and fresh breeze these 24 hours with rain - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.70 to 29.60 - 1st asst went to Newport to post reports to Inspector & Engineer get the mail & supplies - Keeper writing in office.
