18 Light variable and north winds these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours cloudy - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and warm - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Barometer 30.15 - Keeper digging potatoes - 1st and 2nd assts went to Newport after supplies for winter.

29 Light variable winds dry & warm these 24 hours - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.05 - Keeper & assts showing ten visitors in the tower - Keeper and assts changing lenns lamp and polishing brass work - 1st asst working in his garden & celler.

30 Light S. east wind little damp first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours fresh breeze S. east to S. and N. west with hard rain & fair weather - Sea little rough - 1st and 2nd assts putting wood in there celler that they bought rom the keeper - Barometer 29.85 to 29.96 - Keeper resigned from Yaquina Head Light Station to take effect today - He lef the station at 4:15 P.M. - Keeper turned the public property over to the 1st asst Mr. W.P. Ford.
