16 Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.15 to 30.22 - 2nd asst getting wood on beach & working in the garden - 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies - Keeper went 3 miles from the station to pick out a site to build him a home.

17 Light west to south wind these 24 hours with rain showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.22 to 30.30 - Keeper getting wood on the beach - 1st and 2nd assts working in there part of the garden.

18 Light wind to moderate breeze S. to S.W. and west these 24 hours with rain - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.25 - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail and supplies - 1st asst working in the garden - Keeper getting wood on the beach.
