15 Light north wind to moderate breeze south these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry - Sea smooth to rough - Barometer 29.90 - General duties for day - 2nd asst showing visitors in the tower - Three men came out of Yaquina Bar in a row boat went north to Otter Rock at 9.A.M. - They passed this light at 3 P.M. going towards the Yaquina Bar - The ocean is very rough two rough to enter Yaquina Bar on to land anywhere else.

16 Moderate breeze south to S. west with light rain first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather wind west - Sea very rough - Barometer 29.90 to 30.12 - Keeper & assts painting barn - 1st asst working on ladder and printing notices to visitors - U.S. Life Saving crew at Yaquina Bay went out through to rough sea & brought the three men ashore that went out over bar yesterday two rough to get in themselves.
