Be it remembered that on the 27th day of October in the
thirty ninth year of the Independence of the United States
of America and in the year of our lord 1874, William
W. Cooke Esquire of the said District deposited in this
office the title of a book the right whereof he claims
as author in the words following, towit,

" Reports of cases argued and adjudged in the
Supreme Court of errors and appeals of Tennessee
and in the Federal Court for the District of West
Tennessee By William [Wilcox?] Cooke Esquire "

In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States
entitled an Act for the encouragement of learning by
Securing the Copies of Maps, Charts & books to the Authors
and proprietors of Such Copies during the terms therein
mentioned; And also to an Act entitled an Act
Suplementary to an Act entitled an Act for the
encouragement of learning by Securing the Copies
of Maps, Charts, and books to the Authors and proprietors
of Such Copies during the terms therein mentioned
and extending the benefits thereof to the acts of
designing engraving adn etching historical
and other prints.
