Sophia E. Thoreau to Frank B. Sanborn.
Bangor Mar 9th
Dear Mr Sanborn,
I am happy
to acknowledge the receipt of
your draft for the suit, due
March first. It reached me
Saturday, the delay, I beg
you to consider of no con-
sequence.
I trust that the spring
is farther advanced with
you than it is in Bangor.
A deep snow fell yesterday
& I fear, it will be many weeks
before the ice leaves the river.
L. M. Alcott's account
of Fruitlands interested
me very much. It almost
broke my heart to think what
poor Abel suffered.
Please remember me
