My dear friend -
I am well acquainted with
Mde [Masse ?], in this city, who teaches French
in Mr. [Touly's ?] School, & gives private lessons.
I feel a strong interest in her success.
Her husband has been teaching in your
city, & is about to sever his labors, & it
will give me pleasure to aid him in any
way in my power. I cannot speak
of Mr. [Masse ?] from a personal acquaintance,
but he is recommended in the highest
