I have just
returned from a reception
given the "Rubinstein" by
the Apollo Club. We
rehearsed the "9th Symphony"
first, then had banquet,
and dancing with
many notables. All the
finest singers in New
York belong to these two
clubs - especially the Apollo
where everyman is a
soloist of note -
