I do feel worried for you on account of air raids.
The chances are tens of thousands to one against
you coming to any harm - but it is difficult not
to think about it. If you have passed your
exam - & I hope you have - you could perhaps
do some hospital training over here, & be on
call in this country.

I was so tired when I wrote you on Thursday,
that I can hardly remember what I told you.
So perhaps I will try again. I know I told
you about the place. About living - the Battalion
is now in billets again - all over the town.
The officers are in three houses. Myself in one
containing eleven officers - & eleven batmen. It is
a medium sized modern house & on the front.
I sleep with Leslie Abel - & as I arranged
the housing of the officers - the whole
eleven are nice chaps & no trouble.

The Alexandra is a large cafe - & we have
requisitioned part of it as a Mess.
Altogether, it is all very comfortable.
I have now given up the P.M.C. job
