June 19 - 23, 1864

1864 June 19 Finished plowing our
our [sic] crop of every discription, not
quite done weeding corn. Began
yesterday to lay by our corn
great excitment in neighborhood
just now, my wife gone to Dan R
Hunts, I sent Smith to Mr. Lewis's for
Doct Thompson for Mr. Hunt.
I went to M. A. Haley one
day this week & on [unclear] bridge.
[name] started this morning to
Capt. Campbell CH [Court House], in the army
I am sick at this time—
Sent Smith to W. Miller's with letter
to Capt. Williams —

21 st June. [unclear] H. Owen's cow
run in my field on creek one month.
His mule run in the same about
2 weeks, which he has to work
for me for thier staying, bringing
22 Weeding down our tobacco
here clear pretty day.
23rd. Weeding our tobacco & laying by corn.
Sent Smith to Tates to shod since
last [?] & have plow painted[?]
