My dear Elliott:

Barney has written
me that on the 19, he sent
the maps off to Baltimore
to be lithographed. It was
by my instructions they were
sent to Baltimore - they were
sent by express. - He has
friends in that city who will
take pleasure, he informs me,
in superintending the work, who
are draftsmen and accustomed to
such work. He instructed them
in advance also, to get the
stone ready for the work when
it should arrive, so that I
think as much dispatch as
possible may be expected.
