Rebecca, Rachel, Sue and Sallie, little Willie and cousin
Mary Plummer came, also Laurie and Henry: had a
very pleasant day: after they all left, Dothie and I
took a walk.

9th mo. 1st 7th day
Bright and warm in the morning, more pleasant in
the afternoon, a cloudy most of the afternoon: we started
from Pleasant Hill a little after 2 oclock and got to
Spring Gardent a little after 7, had a delightful ride.
This is my precious little Laurences birth day, [Hess?]
the child, he is 8 years old.

2d 1st day
Cloudy morning and evening too: came down to meeting
called at home before meeting: Willliam and Henrietta
here before meeting too: cousin Sally Brooke and
cousin Hannah here to supper, Richard and Edith
Bentley here after supper: I packed father's and mother's
trunk in the afternoon for their western trip.

3d 2d day
Clear until evening, a hard rain about 6 oclock in the
evenning, and rained all the evening: father and
mother started for Ohio: Lucy spent the day at Brooke
