To His Excellency The Govornor
of Utah. I the undersigned
citizen of Virginia voter
and taxpayer consider the
execution of Joe Hill in
your state as simply murder
as do many of my fellow
citizens. It is a dagger
thrust at liberty a thing
which you and I and
evry one should protect and
preserve. I as an
American can not refrain from
offering my personal protest
otherwise I sould feel the guilt
of his death upon my soul.
