To The Governor of Utah

Dear Sir,

as you believe in justice for all regardless
of station, you will not deny me, when I ask, that
You use every means at your command in
behalf our fellow citizen, Joe Hill, working
class poet & revolutionist, unjustly imprisoned
in your state & sentenced to be shot Oct 1st.
That Joe Hill is the victim of an outrageous
miscarriage of Justice there is no doubt.
His execution will be a damning blot on the
fair fame of your state and do no one any
good, least of all his greedy, ruthless mammon
crazed persecutors. Activated by the same
spirit that brought the Man of Galilee to
Calvary, the blinded misguided traducers
and would be murderers of Joe Hill are
utterly blind to even their own interests, though
sordid & foul they be.
