Suppose this man was your brother, would you be willing he should surrender his life for an unjust charge, and not give him one chance for his life, also remember he is some Mother's son who maybe at this moment praying for justice and his release. Honorable Gov Spry of Utah.
Dear Sir-
Your Honor I received the board of pardons letter in reply some 3 weeks ago and after making a thorough investigation of both sides of the case "I am thoroughly convinced that Mr Hilstrom is inosent of the barbarious crime charged against him. And if you permit the State of Utah to perform such a hedious and cowardly unjust act upon an inosent man as the evidence plainly shows" there is no measure to severe to take as a retaliation against such a State as Utah will be. There are thousands of eyes watching this case and its outcome. Your Honor was taught that barbarism canibalism had long

ceased in the Human race but if "such acts as this are alowed to be perfomred by our Governors and law makers what is to become of us working people.
If such acts can be imposed upon us working people, that desire better conditions to work under it is logical to say that more of us will be subject to the same injustice. Governor Spry I appeal to you again to see that Mr Hilsrom is given a fair and square trial for his life.
I remain yours for a new and impartial trial.
George Swartout.
