Mr. Hide and Mrs. Falconars Executors who have returned us bad debts for Tobacco four or five years after they were sold, and the Balance has been carried into several Accots. [accounts] Current. It will be difficult to get redress at this distance, one Merchant not caring to undertake a Prosecution against another, so we shall send a power of Attorney to Mrs. Bootle or some other Gentleman of the Robe, with whom we have the Honor to be Acquainted. We have drawn a Bill of Exchange on you to Colonel George Braxten for one hundred and faulty five pounds nineteen shillings, and another to Colonel Augusten Moore for eighty Pounds. The first dated July 27 and the other the both, which we Desire may be paid & Charged to the Accot.[account] of Our fathers Estate.

We have latly [lastly] bought a Brigantine, which we at first engaged in from a Design of doing a Kendress to the Person who built her and was not able to fit her out. We design to send her this winter with wheat to the Madera, and at her returne [return] to load her with Tobo. [tobacco] to your [Pert?] if you can give us any Encouragement. We have now only to assure you that we are.
