Sir:
In compliance with the Board’s request in letter of 26th ult., relative to means for hoisting supplies form beach at Cape Foulweather Lt. Sta., I have the honor to report that a detailed estimate for such an apparatus was included in the estimates for the current half year. The estimate was approved by the Board’s letter of Aug. 9th, 1884.
The plan is to erect an inclined tramway with winch and car on the south west side of the Cape, about 1000 ft. from the
