1851 Augt 21st Still Cloudy & like for Rain
Rained all day yesterday hot put out
Mrs McCullocks Tobacco House —
made Baskets yesterday & spining —
To day Riving slabs & getting Timber worming
& succoring new ground Tobacco, —& going to
go our Tobacco worming & succoring

22nd Started to the association at Kentuck
Meeting House
friday saturday monday & friday
Rained nearly all the time scarcely finished
the business after association, & came home
about 12 or 1 Oclock Monday night

26th Still Raining we have been spining
making Baskets etc etc yesterday & to day
Jobing working on Road about spring overseer
cut his foot last friday been in the house
nearly ever since, etc —fixing to Raise Barn
Give up to Colo Kirby at Laurel Grove
at a Bond on John J Bently & his Bro siety for $10 - due several years ago, to have
collected by Mr IngRam - Constable

27th Sent 2 Hands to Mrs McCullocks to Raise
Tobacco House, clear & cool, our folks
spining & Pealing fruit etc etc
Mr owen made Jerrys & Sallies shoes —

28. worming &succoring & Toping Tobacco, fixing
Logs to Raise House tomorrow I went to
CH for Lucy Ann & my wife went to Mrs Hunts

29 Overseer has gone to mill to get Corn of
Mr Miller I sent 3 Bushels wheat gotto be ground like corn Mr JD Hunt
2½ of our own wheat for flour, & 1 Barrel Corn
for myself,- we finished the Barn yesterday
& Covered it in & fa[?] up the Door
Toping succorig & working out fresh ground
clear & Cool -- this morning etc —
