Our folks have done little or nothing
to day I told little Henry If it rained him
Milly Ann & Ben must Come & help me fan
Out Rye & flax seed = but they went to
Succorring Tobacco & did not Come to the granary

26th worming & succoring Tobacco cloudy &
likely for Rain -

27 Rained off & on most all day worming
& succoring Tobacco, finished all but little ps
in Corn field Dick & Alex pulling fodder
Billy Hunt [unclear] Came 10 or 11 Oclock & Pulling
fodder too, 7 hands pulling to day

28. Pulling fodder & tying up & cut no tops
finish pulling, Dick & Alex pulled & old
Billy looks like Rain tonight I went to
Mrs Colemans old place Jery Mrs w worsham
& Farthings got childrens clothes & shoes

29th. Rained all day long moderately -

30. Rained more or less all day Sunday
Jerry Came here & went home

Oct. 1st looked like clearing off this morning
but it Set in to raining again &
Rained more or less gently all the evening
Old Billy here & doing but little
Dick & Alex here too to day malling
wood, still cloudy & rained a little all day

Oct. 1st Dick & Alex finished malling & Corded
wood this evening cloudy settled with them

2 Dick & left this evening our folks succoring
Tobacco cutting tops getting wood at new
Barn in fresh field cleared off warm
