13th. Cut Some Tobacco at Crews, I went up
to Mount Airy to see A J Lewis but he not
at home, firing or smoking Tobacco in
new Barn at Waterloo Cutting Tobacco
& trying to finish I am going to Millers
Mill after Plank & get Hounds for waggon
Sawed, Carry about 4 Bushels Corn for meal
Did not go to the Mill on account
of Rain, Rained more or less all day
Lent Jerry Bill this evening to go on River

14th Went to meeting S Stone

15 cloudy this morning firing fresh ground
Tobacco in new shingle Barn nannie & me
are going to Chalk Level & get Bill Shod
worming & Succoring Tobacco & Cutting all
we have

16 Finished Cutting & hanging Tobacco

17th made Top Stack frame & stacking
Tops to day nannie gone to John Lewis
I went to Mr Pringles this morning
Clear Beautiful weather no frost yet

18th Finished Halling up Tops & stacking
& finished this evening Mr John A Pringle &
Mr John Gilbert came here to day as referees
between me & my negroes & decided that I should
divide agreeable to the contract & that I should
pay myself $37½ Dolls out of the Tobacco for
the loss I sustain by having to drive off
claiborne the 18th June last & Henry agreed
to stand to their decision & they divided
