I am not the best judge of the ability of
the congregation. But what I wish to say
is that I hereby pledge myself to join
the congregation in the request to Presbytery
to alter the terms of my call to that
amount which they think they can honestly
and promptly pay without burdening
undult the generous. I shall endeavor
to live upon it whatever it may be, and
