forest jungle - immense trees,
tangled vines, and thick undergrowth,
all evergreen. Though
conditions were very dry, the
annual rainfall is evidently
quite high. Sweeping the
foliage in filtered shade proves

specimens were collected in a
section of rotting vine 4 or 5
inches in diameter, just at and
slightly above ground level.
