My own health is better although
I still have my cough which is
always worse in the Winter particularly
when I take cold, I imagine
I am only patched up for
a time, which may be longer or shorter
depending on circumstances, poeple [people] in
my condition take better care of them
selves, than others who are younger and
stronger, and to my astonishment I have
outlived numbers of young healthy men
who could have had their lives insured
five years ago at the lowest premium. Whilst
I would have been rejected as extra hazzardous [hazardous].
I have got better and stronger and they have
died in this genial climate. I may
last several years yet, but I dont [don't]
expect ever to get entirely rid of My Cough
as when ever I take cold it returns.
Still I am well enough to enjoy life & must
rest satisfied with so much if no worse.
Nothing but a good appetite and a good
digestion has enabled me to combat my disease.
