I am still engaged in dairying my
stock are cattle and hogs, I am going
to try an experiment in silk raising
this summer on a Small scale to
test the Matter. I am certain of
success however, as numbers have tried
in different parts of the state with
most gratifying results, the silk is of the
finest quality, and the worms are so healthy
and vigorous, that there is an unlimited
demand for eggs to supply France & Italy
which countries are obliged to import fresh
eggs every year in order to secure healthy
worms.

I wish you were all living out here
where from the climate life is so much
more enjoyable than in Bucks County, but
I suppose you are planted there for life
and have no desire to change.

P.S. I enclose seeds of the Maguey a kind of
century plant that blooms every year. The
flower stalk is from ten to twenty feet high
perfectly magnificent. Quite hardy, plant the
[written sideways on right side]
seeds in a flower pot and when started transplant
to the open ground, grows on the top of rocky places.
