I am as well this evening as usual & should be
glad to know that Charles had recovered from his
sickness & that you were all well & happy ---
but I must await patiently await the arrival
of the mail & even then I can only learn of your
situation some thirty days since ---

I have no more news to write so I may
as well close. Give my kind regards to all
my friends. Please write as often as heretofore
