never forget that night.
The first thing I saw when
I woke up was you stand-
ing in the doorway with
candle grease pouring down
your hand. You sweet old
thing, just to think of you

Yesterday morning
we didn't do much of
anything. We didn't take
our lunch to Santa Cruz
after all, but after dinner
dad, Jane Linderman, Mabel Linderman, Ruth,
Aunt Isabel Conrad Linderman and I drove
down. The highway is lovely
between Felton & Ben Lomond.
We walked through the
Casino, and oh, what mobs
