My dear old Sned:

Enclosed find letter from Mother
which came last night. I know you
will be glad to hear that both she and her
Mother are better. Jos & I (Les would not go)
and Evelyn went last night to the McCartneys
to dinner. We had a big feed with cocktails
and claret and had a great time. We met
Lila's husband who seemed like a very nice
fellow. He is quite anxious to meet you and
hopes to if you are home Sunday. Jos says
he expects to go down to Brookdale Sat and
help to bring the Lindermans home Sunday.

Lesley reads and studies scenarios all
day, and then goes to the movies to study them.
When it is warm enough he goes swimming
but the weather here is cool. Jos says
he expects to hear shortly that he has to go up
the Valley. Let me know by Friday if
possible whether you will be home Sat.
We all send love.

your loving father
