think I haven't seen you for
five weeks.

Wasn't that too bad
about Caruso's death. I always
loved his voice so much &
hoped that sometime I would
hear him in reality but
now I never will.

Martha and I went to a
card party yesterday and had
a lovely time. Mrs. Breed & Florence Breed
went home to-day.

I forgot to tell you that the
other day I made my first
cake. It turned out alright, it
must have because the kids
are all living.

I do hope I am going to hear
that you can come down. There will
be no other company, as far as I know.
You know how much I want you, dear,
so try & come.
