My dear Edward:

I got your postal card of the 27th
yesterday in which you say your purse
with $1.25 was stolen out of your coat
pocket in camp. What does Mr. Fisher
think of it, and does he think it is one
of the boys? I enclose you a new
purse as requested. Dont leave money
or valuables in camp. Always have your
money in your pocket when you are
out, without a safe place to keep it.

I am sending Mr. Fisher a cheque
for the first two weeks as follows:
