I suppose Norman will be home when

had a very hard summer & I
hope will soon regain all he lost.

You must all have enjoyed the
summer greatly at Lake Tahoe
among those beautful mountains &
Lakes. I hope you are strong & ready
for the winter's work. Tell your Mother
I enjoyed the day "or few hours" [inserted above the line] at Mrs. Rowley's very
much – their cottage is in a lovely spot
in beautful woods. Mrs. Allen wants
to buy one there too on Bainbridge Island,
but she says her husband does not
enthuse about it as she does.
