It has grown cold up here & is quite
cool now – too cool for swimming to
be good or pleasant – That surf bathing
must be fine, but it is not safe
to go in alone – in case of accident
no one would know that any thing
had happened until too late, so please
don't do that alone

Les came home this a.m. just for
the day. Jocelyn is very busy with
his paper business – Norman is having
some trouble with his eyes – Blake is
attending them. He was invited to Hoopers
today and to Thomas's to dinner –
Metcalf was here to dinner last night
Fuji got dinner as Ernier's are away.

Give our love to Henry & Effie – & be
sure to show them that you appreciate their
kindness in entertaining you –
