My dead old Sned:

I hope you are having a fine time
and that you wont get sick eating oranges.

We have not heard from you for a day or
two, and I think the last letter was dated the 13th
and was to me, acknowleging the receipt of the
Minors Release. We are all well here. Lesley
came home last evening and says they have
given him the right to sleep home if he wants
to, so as there are no pianos at the camp, I
think he will come home every day. We are
glad to see him, but I believe it would be best
for him to stay away from home, and be
among strangers for awhile. I dont know
whether Mother told you that Russell Medcraft
is a very sick boy. He has pluro [pleuro] pneumonia.
He is a little bit better but very slightly. One
lung is completely filled up, and they are hoping
to keep the other one clear until the crisis comes
which is about today. He is supposed to have
caught cold through getting his feet wet watering
the garden, but of course you cant tell.
