THE GAMBLE SCHOOL [centered]
SANTA BARBARA, CAL. [centered]

Feb. 25, 1913.

Dear Edward:

"Gee, We're having lovely weather,"
it has been raining steadily since
Sunday morning. Of course we had to go
to church anyway but on the way home
we saw our Flying A friend so it didn't
matter.

Saturday we had had another
tennis tournament. You know at the
one we had last year, I had such a
swell partner that we won, but this
time I had an awful prune for a
partner and we were put out first
thing.

We had a swell lunch over at
Kaim's though, and I certainly eat.
Then instead of waiting for the finals,
Ruth Black and I left and went
riding. Yes you bet I do still go
riding, and the horse is still alive
and kicking – Bucking too. You should
have seen the one I had Saturday buck.
We rode out to the Speedway, which
is a stretch of rode [road] about three quarters
of a mile long, where people on
horseback and driving go to speed,
