met him. Mother says The Canadian
papers speak of him as the foremost
Engineer of Canada & the most noted
Hydro-Electric Engineer in the world.
That he was at the head of all the
most important concerns of that kind
there are – Evidently he was a very
brilliant man – It will be hard for
his wife & family poor things! –
They have had a lot of trouble before.

Richard writes from Newport I
must try to find the letter to enclose.
be sure to return it it is quite interesting.
Do not neglect to write regularly my
dear, we cannot have it otherwise.
