Dear Sned,

Just got home from
the sanatorium a while
ago. Both Martha Linderman Bates and May Helen Bates are fine. I heard the
baby cry to-day for the first
time. Martha has moved
into room "A", and it is
a great deal larger than
the other, she can see the
water from her bed. I
stayed with her for about
three hours. Carol came
