Dear Bogoo:
This has been a dull
dog town for many a moon, with
nothing but a few boot-legging
fracases and Tong Killings and
local talent shows (most deadly
of all) to vary the monotony.

But with Spring, things are
livening up a bit. There are a few
eating events coming along, like
barbecues and such. Picnics up
to the Snow line at Gold Run or
Emigrant Gap — or wherever the Snow —
line is resting at —; a big P.G. & E.
picnic at Lake Spaulding, and
many affairs of like gusto. Then
the girls club of town — called, for
some dark reason, the Unsurwee
Club, is giving its Spring dance
on the best floor in town.
I'd like to have you up this
Spring, and around about the
time of the Unsurwee Dance would
be the best time for lookin' 'em
over which I know is a favorite
