Dearest Sned,

It is such a wonderful
night that I wish I was going
for a ride, but am going
to stay home and sew. I got
some goods to make a dress
and so I am going to be
busy for a few days. It has
been lovely and warm all
day. Mrs. Sargent, Mrs.
Heckman
and her mother
were over this afternoon.
I couldn't to go in swimming
because the tide wasn't
in until late this afternoon.
