My very dear old Snedward:

I have just received your nice letter of
yesterday, and although I shall certainly miss
you tomorrow and Sunday, I am glad you
are not coming if it is best for you to stay. You
are quite right in doing so. I enclose you
a letter from Nor and one from Mother to Ella
which Ella says I can send to you and Les
so will you forward them both to Les, and he
can return them to me. I went to Marguerite
and Bills to dinner Wed night. They put on "dog"
as their Jap male servant is dressed in Tuxedo
like a butler. Last night I had dinner at
Linderman's. Tonight I may go to Ella's or
dine at home in state. I think I will
ask Peacock & his wife over on [inserted above the line] Sunday for a
drive. There is no news. Am feeling fairly
O.K. My throat gets quite hoarse at times, particularly
if I use my voice to any extent. Took a ride
with Abner Doble in his steam car. It goes like
a clock, and I wish I had one. They are
to sell for the touring car at $5000., and there
wont be any for sale for two years. They are
organizing a Company here, and want one of
course to buy stock. I believe it will pay big
some day but I have no money now.

Lots of love to you
Always your loving father
