Enclosed 3 views of Mary Helen Bates
at age 10 weeks, taken June 5th 1921 in our
front garden last Sunday.

Long letter from Mother this a.m. from
Nicholson Pa at Anna's, [illegible - scribbled out] which I have
sent to Les, he to forward it at once to you to
read. Please return it here as Ella has not
seen it nor Jos. Letter from Lesley
yesterday written last Sunday. He was having
the gripe from the symptoms he described. Expects
to have his tonsils out. I have told him to
come up here. I don't know when his
school closes. Yesterday was Martha's 24th
birthday. Am looking for you home a week
from today. Do you want to drive down
with me when you come home, to the oil field
of the Calif Marina. It will take about three
days and will be interesting.

Went to Sargents last night to dinner, and
tonight I go to Mr. Randolph's. All well
