they call it -- He says it makes him
more & more frantic the more he
thinks of it. [illegible] Cannot [underlined] understand
how it happens. Of course his condition
of health is one very potent reason in
his case no doubt -- but he chafes
under it greatly. Dick feels very
much the same way ---

Well dearest I must say goodbye for
today --- Roberta brought down a
letter from you & read it to all yesterday.
She was delighted to get it though she
said she sat down & cried after reading
it -- because finding you were right
up so close to the front --- there all
this fighting is going on -- It makes
us all feel very [underlined] very anxious dearest,
