My own dear one.

Your letters of Sept 11th & 16th
came on Saturday and the aluminum
belt buckle (-German-) all are
intensely interesting -- We had no
idea before that you were in the
St Mihiel drive! and your
account of it is wonderfully
interesting and exciting. We
read all four of those late letters
again & again --- & find them
absorbingly interesting --- Those
of Sept 30th & Oct 1st came
