My very dear old Snedward:

We received a wire from Les this morning from
New York which says he has received his discharge and
will leave for home Wednesday (12th) so he ought to be
home next Monday. I enclose you a letter which came
for you yesterday. We have not heard from you since
your letter dated Nov 6th, except of course the cable
which has made us all young again, in which
you said "well. love. with 32 Div." We dont
know how you came to be transferred or what
Co or Reg you are attached to, but I hope 32nd Div
will reach you promptly. I saw the Rev Chas Miel
five days ago. He is a YMCA Secy and has just
come back from Siberia. He was asking about
you, and I told him about your Marchville
experience, ending up with "he was congratulated
by his Major, 2 Colonels, a French officer, and the
General of his Div, and also ordered to hand in the
name of every man in his platoon for citation."

Mr. Miel immediately said D.S.C. & C de G. I said
what makes you think so! He replied that he
knew how these things were done, and there could
be no question about it. Every few days the
papers give a talk by General March as to where
the Divisions are, and from that we know that the
32nd is in Germany. Mother in telephoning me
this a.m. said Monsieur Alexandre Marcellin was
at the house, and he said his wife had received a
letter from her son dated Nov 11th, so there ought
