kick out of the game.

Today Jack Holt and Harold LaRoche,
movie stars, came out to the ship for
lunch and tea. They are unusually interesting
men — very neat and well dressed — well
educated — and nice. I was glad to meet
them as they have icertainly given me
a new angle of filmdom. There[their] families
also were delightful. Holt is quite a
polo player wheras LaRoche talks an
excellent game of golf.

Lesley and I went over to Fairbanks
yesterday but the place was dull. I
liked the sets, however, for Bagdad
and think that the movie will be a
knockout. Poor old Lesley felt quite
badly when he discovered that it was an
off day. He had wanted to show me the
place for weeks.

Well, Edward, old workhorse, with best
wishes again to you & to Betty I am
